Layouts

Here you can see the layouts Mark-Ferguson.info had during time with some additional infos on them.

Version 1.2 (2010.11.20 - right now) I got fed up with the last layout quite quickly because it just looked cluttered. In this one, the front page got cleaned up and the updates moved there from the right which made the layout smaller and also better to navigate in a resolution with 1024 pixel or less. In total, it looks neater, with not as much distraction from the content as before. The beautiful butterfly in the background image comes from Brusheezy.

Version 1.1 (2010.11.03 - 2010.11.20) This is a variation of the first layout, with the colours and images basically being the same. The main difference is the bigger space for the actual text, a more detailed menu directly available, the introduction of Quicklinks and some random images from the gallery on the front page. There were some slight variations of this, for example one without the smaller mark-ferguson.info bars. It basically got a little too big to navigate decently with a resolution under 1280 pixel.

Version 1.0 (2009.03.14 - 2010.11.03) This is the layout the website started with - a very simple brown one with some coloured stripes. The colours were 'stolen' from one of Mark's pullovers he wore at Ring*Con ;) The colours fit in quite well with the brown so why not? The navigation is a simple bar with the submenues on a seperate page each. The updates are visible on every page, in a box at the right. The context box has a seperate scrollbar while the main page (containing everything) shouldn't need to scroll as long as your screen is big enough. It works fine for me with a resolution of 1024x768 pixels with F11 pressed for a full screen view in Firefox. Width about 1000 pixels if anyone's interested.
