The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

New Zealand 2001
Role: Gil-galad/Witchking
Director: Peter Jackson
Company: New Line Cinema
Info: Next to many, many other New Zealand actors Mark had a role in the epic movie trilogy, even though his part as Gil-galad was, err, very small. He was just seen in the prolouge, slaying some orcs - this shot is also known as the 'Gil-galad orgasm shot', because the elf obviously had a very good time killing those ugly creatures. Other scenes Mark had shot didn't reach the final version. // Mark also was one of the guys in the armour of the Witchking of Angmar, thanks to the claustrophobia of the original actor. Some sources say that this material didn't reach the final version, but there is a
picture of Ringwraith, signed by Mark anyway. // Mark fainted during the shooting after being grabbed too hard by his throat by Sauron.
